Automated Reporting

Theme: The Daily Briefing.

For family members who aren’t on shift—who can’t be there for every medication, every encounter, every task—staying informed can feel overwhelming. The Daily Briefing solves this by transforming a day’s worth of activities into a clear, narrative summary.

At the end of each day, The Digital Hearth automatically generates a “Daily Briefing”—an AI-powered summary that takes all the day’s events and presents them as a coherent narrative.

Instead of scrolling through a timeline of individual events, family members receive a summary like:

“Today, medication was administered on schedule. Dad had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Green, where his blood pressure was noted at 150/90. The doctor recommended increasing the Lisinopril dosage to 10mg, which was completed this evening. A follow-up appointment has been scheduled for two weeks from today. Dad mentioned feeling more energetic and was able to take a short walk in the afternoon.”

The Daily Briefing doesn’t just list events—it weaves them together into a story. It:

  • Summarizes the day’s activities in natural language
  • Highlights important changes or events
  • Connects related activities (e.g., a doctor’s recommendation and its implementation)
  • Provides context that makes the information meaningful

The Daily Briefing is particularly valuable for:

  • Siblings who live in different cities but want to stay informed
  • Adult children who can’t be present for daily care but need to know what’s happening
  • Family members who have Observer access and want a digestible summary
  • Anyone who wants to stay connected without being overwhelmed by details

The Daily Briefing respects the same privacy boundaries as the rest of the system. Observers receive summaries appropriate to their access level, and the briefing can be customized to include or exclude specific types of information.

The Daily Briefing ensures that distance doesn’t mean disconnection. Family members stay informed, engaged, and connected—even when they can’t be there in person.
